Memorial Day Weekend

So do I now Dan, so do I !!

The famous Key Lime Pie that Dan made with his own hands-"who's a good boy"!!!

It was such a perfect day: relaxing by the ocean (too cold to get in for my Mediterranean blood!), eating (fish food!), drinking, chatting, basking in the sun, seagulls, seabreeze, boardwalk, uncle b 'the joker of the day!' and the most warmhearted and hospitable people-love you enormously uncle Dan and Aunt Teressa. You really do know how to host a bar-b!

We had the Monday off to honour the soldiers who have fought in the wars- a very patriotic day, American flags in abundance!

We spent the day at Ocean City, and Uncle Dan, as always, was the hostess with the mostest.

"She thinks my tractors sexy..."

We had free drinks and food all night (being box seat tickets that we had!), can you tell whether these two have been drinking or not?!?
I do think he looks rather sexy-both his tractor and his arms."they really turn me on"! He definitely had me from hello!

Yes, living in the USA for only 10months and I am now a lover of country music. I think it's said that county music is built on heartbreak, faith, inebriation or the love of one's tractor and dog (or something like that!), I personally think it's very soulful. For me the Kenny Chesney concert was just electrifying: both the music and the atmosphere (the company wasn't bad either I suppose!!). We had the best seats ever and I had a fantastic time, thankyou Mr D, lots-I'm really grateful. It was an "awesome" night, dude!

Field trip to The Battleship

Amazing children, every single one of them, so special in their own unique way.

We got back to school early so I only thought it was fair to play with our frisbees on the field (who wants to do work after a fieldtrip-definitely not the teacher!!)
Little Missy here wanted a race (a real one) and I obliged not realising she would beat me, for real!! or as she said: "I smoked you Miss K"! She was so fast, I put it down to her youthful legs!! (my hours in the gym on the treadmil don't count!)

Chelsea had to get in all the pictures somehow-shes so cute!!

The 3rd grade classes went to visit the Battleship Museum in Cameden-it was stunning. It fought in many wars and in all its time of battle, it lost only one soldier.

Wenonah Nature Trail

Annie absolutely 'LOVED' being in the woods on a Saturday morning, with the birds, the bugs and butterflies? She really wants to become part of the Enviromental Comission Group this year and is so glad she left Philli! !!!!

I wonder who this 'vulture' is?

The amazing teepee that was built with reeds, string, a lot of time, creativity and ingenuity-don't you agree uncle B?

The Indian teepee took a slightly 'English' slant to it !

Another successful event Uncle Bob organised for the Wenonah kids - you put so much time into it Uncle Bob-I really do admire your dedication and love of the Wenonah woods. I really did enjoy walking around the trails (not as much as Annie of course!). I saw yet another beautiful side to both Wenonah and its number one carer-big love Uncle B.

'Home-run' at my first Baseball Game!

Thanks to some wonderful friends, I was lucky enough to be able to go to my first 'live' baseball game - it reminded me so much of the film 'In a league of their own' (silly I know!), it just seemed like a very (enjoyble) American experience for me. We were 'rooting' for the Phillies who were playing San Francisco. It was much easier to understand - a bit like rounders I suppose - well sort of!
It was very smoky in The Turf Club,I wonder if Mike thought the sunglasses would help?!?? They must have bought him good luck I reckon, as his $2 bet turned into a 3 digit win!

It was great as we watched the Kentucky Derby to start with at The Turf Club. When we won our 'millions' we went to see the Phillies. Thankyou Mike, Nicole and Dave for a lovely day-I really enjoyed it. And it doesn't matter about not finding any 'water' at McFadden-the 'wahrer' was just as good. And as for the 'fanny pack'-lets just not go into it. Thankyou again, so much.

Rock 'n' Roll Night !

It was our Spring Concert at school : "Rock the DukeBox" - It was so much fun. Howard, the music teacher, did an excellent job (Broadway standards)-it reflected his personality so much, full of style and pizazz.

This is baby Andrew who I adore,he is such a flirt!! He didn't stop kissing all the 'rock 'n' roll'girls!

This is Tom Jones before his stage performance, very cool!

'Tom Jones' singing " it's not unusual", where there was a lot of hip action going on (he had good training from his teacher!!). He's so cute!
