Marathon Man 2005, NY

A very determind friend of mine, Tony came from London (with his sister Liz) and successfully, not only completed the marathon, but completed it in 4hours and something.....!!! Your the man Tony!! When Liz and I saw him at the finish, he did not look as though he had just ran 26 and a bit miles - he must be well fit!! He held up his medal and quoted something deep and meaningful about hard work......!! I wish I could remember what it was, as I do remember that the quote appealed to me. We were very, very proud and he was definitely an inspiration to me. After the run, we went for a complimentary meal (thanks for inviting me Tony) by Whizz Kids which is the charity he was running for and then ended up on the Empire State Building (picture of me and Liz) - not a good idea when you have had a few too many glassess of wine! It was a great weekend, even the bus tour, Liz!! Marathon man, rewarded himself by sitting in an Irish pub, in the middle of Manhattan, to watch the Spurs game. They surprisingly lost!

Look after that medal Tony!
